Excellent work laurel, mighty tastey lookin vittles! Like ya say, I think I'd poke me a bunch a holes up towards the top a that can and plug the top up with an onion, that way yer flavor vapors come out the sides ta yer chicken, great idear. Yall just keep a workin on yer corn, it'll come round fer ya!

I cook my fatties ta 162*. Add a bit a bacon inside there fer some extra moisture. Ya got excellent ring on it, points fer this one darlin.
 
all in all it don't look bad laurel-I too not a big fatty fan-and like WC says the corn I like doing in husk-less smoke but sure comes out great.chicken sure looks good.
 
Thanks Bob, and Tip, for the props (and points!). I'm not going to give up on the corn. It's on sale around here and will give another go at it soon. Definitely learned that the husks need to be pulled up over the corn, they just dried out too much and wouldn't stay up there!

Love me some corn on the cob and if there's a new way to cook it, I'm on it!
