When I was growing up, my father would grill kebabs like that. They were on longer skewers (which I still have) and on a Weber 22, but the ingredients and done-ness was exactly like that. What flavors.

Sometimes, while they were cooking, Mom would rub them with the end of a stick of butter. I think she got that from an old James Beard recipe.
