bbq temperature gauge stem connection

Hello all I'm building a new insulated smoker and need gauges with at least 2" of stem connection to get through the doors. Does any one know where either can find some?

Going to be hard to find, if even possible.

Weld a coupler on the exterior of the door and screw it in there. All you would need then is a 5/16-3/8" hole for the stem to enter into.
