Hi there,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes. My better half and I are heading to NYC for a few days in June. We live in Scotland and ideally we'd love to hire a convertible and spend a month or two touring the bbq joints all over the US. Sadly, we only have a few days in NYC instead, so which bbq restaurants would you guys recommend in New York city? Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I can't answer your question

don't know anything about NYC.

Just stopped by to wish you a great time while

you are in our beautiful country.

Hope you have the time of your life.

Good BBQ in NYC? Who knows? Go with wimpy's suggestions I guess, but don't judge USA BBQ by what you find...
Glad to have you here and Safe Travels...

Blue Smoke is famed rib champ Mike Mills place. Mighty Quinn's is Hugh Mangum who sous chefed under Michael Symon. His brisket and beef ribs are top in the city. I've had the BS ribs and they're worth it. Friends have been to Quinn's and the Brontisoris Ribs are an experience, sides are great also.

Definitely go to Katz's or any family deli in NYC.
Katz's is on the big list of things to do, as is NY pizza. (a few others also on the list - dumplings in c'town, breakfast in a diner, Brooklyn brewery and sampling some food truck grub. We're not big on Broadway shows but we love food and drink.)

Thanks Wimpey, I'll put those places on the list as well, and SmokeyMose, I understand NYC isn't a real bbq hot spot but we're both keen to try some in the land of low n slow. We plan to head down to bbq country in 2-3 years for a taste of the real thing. Thanks for the replies!

I travel to NY often.  Usually eat Italian while I am there.  Go figure....  I've eaten at Daisy May BBQ. But it been a while ago.  Was pretty good. Cant remember what street its on. Try Googling it.  PM me if you can't find it.
