I've been enjoying my RecTec pellet smoker. I've done countless butts, ribs, briskets, and birds. I love it.
But the wife hit me with something I didn't think she would ever say... It stunned me quite honestly.
She said, she was looking at getting me a Fathers Day gift and couldn't decide and needed help. She said she saw a Big Green Egg and wondered if I would like one for Fathers Day. I'm like wait....what??!!?? She said get what you want. Again, I was like wait...what?!? Did she wreck the car? Is she pregnant? Oh, god, does she have a brain tumor?!?
Nope... cars ok, she's fixed and a quick CT showed nothing... She said she wanted me to have it for our 15th Anniversary/Fathers Day.
Soooo, long bit of research and my new Primo 400XL will arrive soon. I made it just in time to take advantage of the Orion Cooler give way too. I got a lot of the accessories but no table. So I'm doing research on building a grilling table. I've been on the BGE forums looking at nests and grilling tables.
I got confirmation from R&L Carriers that I have one 400lb shipment coming. I'm quite excited. Now I guess the bar has been set. I feel kinda bad for getting her that chainsaw for Mothers Day....just kidding!! I need to find an anniversary cruise (she likes those)
