last weekend i smoked a brisket and a rack of spareribs. i gave ahunter a bite of meat off a rib, and he wanted more. he ate quite a bit of the meat. my wife gave him some brisket, and he tore it up too. i wish we could have got a picture of him eating some que.

My youngest daughter (4 y.o.) usually doesn't eat much. She'll eat a couple bites of meat with her meal. I've done 2 packer briskets now and she tears it up and wants more. So do the other 3 kids by the way.

Chris you gotta keep that camera ready! That baby boys gonna grow up to fast and you gotta share those pictures!

some years ago i heard on the radio on how bad smoked foods were for kids and children, i say its all false, my grandma that grew up on smoked foods is still alive and shies in her 90's.

they said smoked foods hurt kids,,, i cant find any proof in that saying nor any deaths in in, boges results, some kids might be aligic to smoked foods but thats rare.

It is wonderful to see the progression.
First they eat the smoked meat then when they reach the age of my boys and want to start bbq'n themselves either way it "warms" my heart

Just gotta say, both my boys teethed on rib bones and jerky and I really don't believe it hurt them any. H#ll, they grew up loving ribs and brisket. JMO

If the baby can eat it that's good - some may have senstive tummies at first but they will grow out of it!

Don't be surprised id they spit out their strained peas after atting tastey Q though!
