Just put a couple of slabs of baby backs through the new smoker and I'm happily impressed.
One thing I didn't like about my old electric smoker was it didn't make smoke when the element was off. Not a big deal and it's something you get used to and plan for.
With this smoker you have constant smoke. I use Louisiana competition pellets (I know Masterbuilt says not to use pellets but, what do they know, right?) and the smoke was constant.
I used Jeff's rub with a few tweaks and crutched after 3 hours. They turned-out awesome!
One thing about propane is when it burns it produces carbon dioxide and water as biproducts of combustion and, although I used a water/cider bath I'm sure the extra moisture didn't hurt.
I use Inkbird's Bluetooth thermometer and temp stayed around 212 never varying more than 3 degrees +/-.
Adding more pellets didn't lower the temp much, maybe ten degrees. I DID add some Fireblack gasket before first fire so I'm sure that helped.
All in all it was a pleasant experience. The ribs lasted maybe ten minutes!
