I'm kind of a Royal Oak guy. I use both briquettes and lump. Not a Kingsford fan but never used the "competition" style and see there are some fans of it on SMF.

Around here in North Texas Royal Oak can be difficult to find. Many places are now selling B&B Charcoal in lump and briquettes as an alternative selection to Kingsford. For all I know Kingsford may make it!

Anyone had  good or bad experience with B and B?

Merry Christmas David!  Ozark. Of course!  I've seen that in my travels to Missouri and visiting the relatives in Little Rock. Popular in your area.

Hey Brian! I've only used one bag of B & B charcoal, some time ago...but I don't recall any negative issues with it. I do use quite a lot of their cooking pellets in my pellet smoker, with very good results.

If it's readily available to you I'd say give it a try and see what you think.

Merry Christmas Brother!
