Asparagus Blanching and using Todd's Q-Matz...

I found one more use for Q-Matz.... After putting the asparagus in the blanching water, I was trying to figure out how to get it removed at the same time to keep some of it from overcooking.... Well, I grabbed the Q-Matz I had for the MES 30 racks and used them as a strainer / picker upper.... They worked great.....

Then vac-packed for later use....

Great idea! We use a spider to pull them, but this looks a lot easier.

The local Kiwanis sells fresh picked asparagus in 10# boxes for $20..... good deal as far as I know.... and they sell fresh raspberries and other stuff also....

i'd jump at the chance to get 10 pounds of asparagus.

I think I found a booth at the local farmers market last summer... got put on their mailing list...
