Are Oklahoma Joe's offset smokers worth buying?

One of our local stores has and Oklahoma Joe's offset smoker on sale for $199.00 when they usually sell for $429.00. Is this worth getting? Or should I save my money for a better one later on?

That's a great deal and I'd grab it. The first offset I bought about 9 years ago was the Highland and it was on sale for $299. I bought it to learn on and even though I have a large custom offset now, my Ok Joe Highland is still used weekly. Plenty of mods available for them...

I agree. That sounds like a steal, and my understanding is that those are decent pits.

And, I will put in my usual pitch for Bell Fab out of Oklahoma if/when you want to upgrade. High quality, customizable, relatively very inexpensive, and I think he ships now.
