Anyone Smokin' in the Northeast?

I've been cruising around the forum for awhile now and went looking for a group in my area, but there doesn't seem to be one. I was wondering if there was anyone in the northeast on here? I'm in Southern New Hampshire! Where y'all from?

I'm in Maine. I suggested to the powers that be when the group section first started that there be a New England regional group, the reply was that the groups were meant to be state groups not regional.

There are a few people from ME, NH and MA on this forum.

It would be nice to have a regional group for those of us in New England.

I agree, being as we have a bunch of little states jammed up here regional make sense. I'm in Pelham, NH literally 1/2 mile from MA.

Can we start the group ourselves or does a moderator have to create it?

I don't see a "start a group" menu like they have on Facebook , so I'd say a moderator would have to do it. I think a PM to one of the main guys would tell if it can happen. It seems to me like there's a fair number of new england ers on here , so it'd be fun to see what kind of response we'd get.

Originally from DownEast Maine here, but in Upstate NY now.  But I have to admit, when growing up in Maine (about as far east as you can get in the continental US) I never would have considered New York to be in the "NorthEast".

maybe instead of New England you use Northeast?

Either way, anyone can join any group they want, so I don't think the name is all that important? 

I think Northeast is a better choice as New England is a defined region of the US. 

From Wikipedia "New England is a region in the northeastern corner of the United States consisting of the six states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut."
