Anyone smoke fresh hocks?

I put a hock on the smoker with some ribs once for about 2.5 hours.  When I wrapped the ribs I pulled the hock and put it in a pot of greens.  Man - those were good when the ribs were ready!

Now those are some beauties. I have wondered if you could re-smoke store bought hocks. The ones the supermarkets sell around here are not very smoky and there's no meat on them either. If I can get my wife to shop the meat markets in Chinatown she can usually find some good ones. That's my go to place for pork bellies too. I can make a meal from a bowl of mustard greens /w hocks and corn bread /w honey butter.
