Anybody besides me PO'd about Home and Auto Insurance ?

My auto insurance goes up every 6 months.
Just got Homeowners renewal. Up about 80% in 2 years.

I need to win the Lottery and be self insured.

I paid in full at the end of December for 5 cars...I know I am going to take a huge hit on next renewal. Homeowners up about 30% this year in NY but the PA house was still reasonable.

they have been canceling here if you are within something like 3 miles to the water. Have a friend that owns a state farm agency and they cancelled him!

My Mom's been paying State Farm just about her whole life . Had hail damage on her roof a couple years ago . Gal from State Farm came out , and looked at it .
Pro-rated because of the age of the roof ,,, offered to write her a check for $1.46 .
I counted to 10 before I said anything , but it didn't work .

They're not going to lose money . That's all there is to it . All the tornadoes , floods and fires cost them and it gets passed on to us .

Some have gone out of business or just quit writing some policies. Another big loss for them is the derrechos that have been happening. I raised my deductible up to $ 10,000 on one of my policies just to offset the higher costs.
