Any I'm looking for a source for the MAK 2 Star General ceramic ignitor

Yep, that's it. Specifically the HF1309A02-W. Hollow tube/open end, 120V, 130W, and the physical dimensions are exactly the same as the FlashFire in my MAK. And it's described as being designed to ignite biomass/wood pellets.
Wow nice find! Hopefully you can get one and be back in business

I've contacted them, in hopes of buying one via a USA vendor. I'm a bit apprehensive doing e-commerce directly with a company in China. Perhaps I'm overly cautious in that regard, but that's how I'm wired.

I get it, but for me, it was not a lot of cash at stake, I would likely roll the dice and give it a rip.

It would just depend on the payment method they require. If they take PayPal, I'd consider it, but hesitant to pass on credit card info. Hopefully, it'll be much ado about nothing. Just found a place called Grill Parts America, here in the USA, and they sell HEATFOUNDER products. Sent them an inquiry, and will hopefully hear back from them.

WOW akjeff. That does look and specs out like the MAK ignitor. Now to source it. If I find a place it will be posted here for sure. I'm a looking forward to you hearing back from Grill Parts America. Thanks again. You have no idea how relieved I am to know it just MAY be an item I can still get.

I get the payment concern as I feel the same. One thing to consider if the part is available, I am open to purchasing a gift card credit card for said amount of the purchase cost. One time use and you are not giving up any information. My $0.02

Guess we are on the same path Jeff. I actually got a response back from them indicating purchases can be made directly with them. However, from that way they put it I suspect they are commercial i.e. selling quantities to other businesses. Grill Parts America sounds very hopeful. The question will be if they are willing to carry/get the part. 🤞

I've done business with these guys for MES and gas grill parts . No issues .
Might be an option if you hit a dead end .

These guys might be worth contacting too. Done some business with them in the past.
Me too Norm . Great company . The thing I like about them is they send you updates as your order is being shipped . I haven't done grill parts with them , but bought several appliance parts .

The response I got from HEATFOUNDER mirrors yours @schlotz. They were looking for a minimum 100 unit order. Fingers crossed that Grill Parts America is willing to play ball.

Great for Masterbuilt parts.
Now that you say that , I got the 1500 watt analog element from them for my electric kettle project .

If it's confirmed as a replacement , maybe the ebay guy buys a lot of 100 . If people are buying back up fans and motors , seems like a no brainer .

What was really eye opening, was seeing how enormous the markup is on retail products like these igniters. The per unit price for a lot of 100, was just under ten bucks each. Similar igniters retail for $50-$100.

Some credit card companies will issue you a one time use number for situations like this.
