My ignitor has failed and didn't know that MAK Grills had closed down. I'm hoping someone here may know of a source to turn to for replacement of the ignitor. Why OH why did the ignitor need to be proprietary? A meaningful thank you to anyone that can point me in the right direction.

You can take a look at this thread, maybe the Ebay seller mentioned may have that part also.

I've already asked the eBay seller this very thing. Unfortunately, they do not have any igniters. I'm still trying to find a suitable sub. The one that Lone Star Grills uses looks very similar, and I've contacted them to try and get the physical dimensions, but have gotten no response yet.

Thanks for the reply. I too sent a question to the ebay seller but have not heard back yet. I also tried the RecTeq ignitor as it looked very similar. It did light up but not enough to fire the pellets. I have a cousin that lives in Dalles Oregon and he will be trying to find out what they did with all their stock inventory of parts. Hopefully he will find a previous employee to ask. I'm not too confident that will yield anything but worth a try. If and thats a big if he comes up with a source I'll post it here. Thanks again

Definitely interested and really hope the cousin gets lucky. 🤞
