Any Cajun Injector users

Are there any other Cajun Injector electric smoker users out there?  I bought one of their all stainless steel 2012 models when the MES models were having so many problems with the gen 2 and the gen 1s were hard to find.  I have to say I am very glad I got the CI.  I like the double adjustable latches on the door and the wide selection of racks that comes with it as well as the built in temperature probe.  I've found the temerature to be very consistent although I did fill the water pan with washed sand to help even out the heat.  I'm using the standard smoker box and I seem to get a nice even smoke although I am working on an automatic feeeder to add chips.  I'll keep you posted on that since I think it will work on the MES also.

  A good investment. Be sure to get an AMNPS from Todd. It will take care of adding chips .

I have a OLD Cajun Injector model that i bought from Acadamy around seven years ago.

i like this model but of couse it was discontinued right after i bought it , and i have had problems with the wire's in the back burning out but thanks to this Forum i fixed it and it has been running since,

after numerous over night smokes and all day smokes it is still working good and the temp is still on it's mark. I still use the water in the smoker but the original pan i took out and replaced with a throw away pan , "i dont like to clean".

when this unit finally gives out on me i dont think i will get another one due to being able to get replacement parts .

I will "upgrade" to a MES 40
