Hey all -
My name is Matt and I'm from Lee's Summit (just south-east of Kansas City), Missouri. I have sworn my entire life (short as it has been) by the Weber Kettle, until I started working 25 miles from home. Then I made the switch to gas, but I was never quite satisfied. I recently purchased a Traeger Lil' Tex 070 and, wow, am I a fan. I haven't had a bad piece of meat off of it.
I've always done burgers and chicken breasts and some steaks, but have recently gotten more serious about smoking. I ventured out and did beer can chickens (turned out OK), a brisket (turned out tough, but not dry) and a pork loin (turned out awesome). My next venture is going to be ribs, so advice is openly welcome.
I have two kids, one 2 and 1/2 and one only 7 weeks, so while I don't have a lot of time on my hands, I have a lot of time at home- which means Saturdays for smoking.
I look forward to chatting with ya'll.
Matt
