So i went to the local main bbq shop on the weekend to try and find if the gas smoker connection i bought from the US (im from australia) will be able to be converted etc to use for our type of connection for LPG here....
the guy gave me the funniest look when i showd him the type of gas connection i had, but as the line and fitting connections are smaller in than what we use here none of the line parts could be replaced. So he gave me a private contractors number as he said with the correct tools you might be able to chop off the gas bottle fitting at the end of those hose and clamp on a normal aussie gas fitting as a replacement.
im still waiting on a response from the contractor - so fingers crossed for me coz if this doesnt work i dont know what will, i've already had one company email me back saying "Apart from being illegal it also very dangerous. Unfortunately I have seen a number of American fittings which I have been unable to convert to our standard fittings."
