Amount I know about smoking = 0. Willing to learn at Lake Norman NC

Hello everyone from beautiful Lake Norman, NC. As someone who loves to eat, but rarely contributes in the kitchen, I have decided to give smoking a shot. 

I have purchased a Masterbuilt 30" Electric Smokehouse, which I know nothing about. 

Funny Story: My sister is the head cook in our family, but she has been a vegetarian for the better part of a decade. The funny part is she spent almost 5 years (while a vegetarian) working in an excellent BBQ restaurant. She knows quite a bit about smoking meats of all types and I am using her help from time to time. 

I look forward to meeting everyone in the future.
