Hello all. First off I’d like to say that I love this forum! Now that I’m done suckin’ up, I’d like to ask it anyone sees an issue with this build. This is actually 2 pieces of sheet aluminum sandwiched together with Lava lock RVT and aluminum angled duct. I was thinking about re-attaching the original vent in back of the aluminum as a heat shield, but I am not sure if it will make a difference. Thank for any help.

One quick observation..If you are going to attach a piece of aluminum to that end of the smoker, lower it down so that the exhaust is level with the cook grate.

Okay. RGR that. Thanx!!

Is that the firebox or the cook chamber?

Before you do anything everyone needs to be on the same page.
