$15.99/lb for corned beef. Sounds insane to me.Went shopping at my normal place today . So I checked the price there .

They also had 2 other brands for $5.99 and $6.99 .
That store always has stuff like that . Local small family farm / processing type thing . I'd never buy that , but some people do .Sounds insane to me.
Do you think that if you rinsed/soaked and then vac sealed and froze it would be better, longer?I thought about getting a couple more but in past after sitting in freezer for a while did not taste that great. Thinking because the salt content.
Uncooked corned beef can be frozen for 1 to 2 months for best quality, but high salt content (roughly 827 mg–1,300 mg per 3-oz serving) accelerates flavor degradation and rancidity.
As long as the original package is sealed good. You shouldn't need to. But it isn't going to hurt doing this. For longevity. Not sure.Do you think that if you rinsed/soaked and then vac sealed and froze it would be better, longer?
I used 2 of the 4 I bought and need to figure out what I'm going to do with the other 2.
