So my birthday was just before Thanksgiving, and my father ordered me a 5lb rib roast dry aged, boned and tied Wagyu from Lobel's out of New York. That showed up 2 days before my B-day, and was cut in to 4 steaks with one being grilled on for my b-day dinner. Then come to find out my wife ordered a Snake River Farms Wagyu Tri-Tip which came with 2 free lbs of Wagyu Ground beef. The Lobel's comes fresh cut, never frozen as the SRF meat is shipped frozen. All the SRF went into the freezer for now except 1lb of hamburger meat and will come out sometime before Christmas. Will do a post on that when it is time to cook. As for the Lobel's steak that we had it was the best piece of meat I have ever had. I described it to my dad as close to a earth walking scallop. Juicy, soft, and just tasty. Monday night will be a try with the SRF ground beef for burgers.
