thats just weird, LOL I heard my neighbor talk of cooking a turkey ONCE in a dishwasher, and said it was good. But never hear of another one coming out of there.

Not what this threads about, but since you brought up the cooking in plastic, it really is bad for you.

A short discourse for those interested. Plastic is usually a hard brittle substance. The flexible kind are "softened "with chemicals called phtalates. these do leach out of plastics, but especially so if the plastic is heated.

Pthalates are in everyone. They are estrogen mimickers in our bodies. There is a theory, and only a theory, that is till we get human guinea pigs, that the increase in prostate and breast cancer is related to these levels.

And yes I use plastics, but do try to minimize my exposure

Wow, now that is interesting. The theory is cool, but I am not in to that, I need caramelization and subsiquently UMAMI!
It would be like everything is poached.
but wow, now that is from the land of HOLYCRAP!

"On a surprise visit on Friday, inspectors found mouse droppings, improperly refrigerated ham and a fly floating in a bottle of Maker’s Mark bourbon"

Soo the fly wanted a drink. Sheesh. It's not like he's gonna contaminate it. Helluva drunk, goodbye, and sanitized. Ask Capt Dan- bourbon cleans ANYTHING!
