Hey guys it's been quite awhile since I posted anything, but I finally got back to work on my 40s GE fridge conversion.
I've got all of the major things built, just waiting on some silicone and a door seal. Hoping to be able to use it this weekend, if the AMNPS shows up.
I finally was able to fire it up for awhile today, with the door off so I could keep an eye on the heater, it started to bring the temp up a bit even wide open on the front. My biggest fear is the heater, it's a 1550w finned but because of the smaller size of the fridge I sunk it down in a stainless warmer pan, then mounted 2-4" grill dampners on the side of the pan. I'm worried about the heater, should it be red hot? I just want to know if thats normal for these. I know the stove elements get that way but just want to be extra sure. I enclosed a pic of the heater, and one of the overall box.
Thanks guys
