I was going to ask about a gasket and did a search
So, how are Y'all managing your temp probe wire/cables?,
My Inkbirdbbq Inkbirdbbq I-BBQ-4T is my most valuable tool. it the pit is lit there's a probe at grate level and at least one in the meat. so far just laying th lid on top of them. My WSM has the nifty little probe diphragm but I'm not going to molest my ketttle for that option
Lastly, anybody dropped ginormous bucks on the SNS drip and griddle tray. I think a roll of heavy duty foil on half of the bottom grate would suffice for less dinero.
that's all
TIA
John

For my probe wire... I just used my grinder with a cut off wheel and cut a little notch in the bottom half (not the lid)... The wire passes through without the lid sitting on it...

I just use an aluminum foil pan in the bottom to catch drippings... Very little dinero...

When I use the vortex I line all the way around it in the bottom with foil... This does two things... Catches drippings and also directs the incoming air into the vortex...

I put in a silicone grommet on the Kettle with the electric element so I could run my Auber with it . Like on a WSM . Haven't done that to my Webers yet . I just run them under the lid .

I commented in another thread about using a broiler pan from a house oven .
Line that with 24" foil , then toss the foil . I find it cheaper than foil pans .
I use it most on the SmokeFire , but works in the kettle too .
