A brief hello from Eau Claire WI

I've been smoking and grilling most of my life. I was a KCBS Master Judge that tapped out after 100 contests. While fire is my friend, we had to break up due to health and other considerations. Hence my new handle: Watt Smoke. Picked up a SmokinIt #2 digital electric this past summer. Had some success. The butts and snack sticks went per plan. A little more futzing for ribs. The snow is showing up here in Western WI, Cheeseland.
Looking for hints and tips from those who still have smoke, but not much fire

Welcome from a Minnesotan that has common sense to drive south for the winter
Got the tongue in check. Sorry for the health issues. Not much experience with the less smoking options outside of my after my Big Chief electric that died a few years ago.
I do use the facility gas grills to smoke using a pellet tube.

In my defense the majority of my life was in south Minneapolis
