I have done this before....when I worked in the Restaurant Industry..... for the cost, you are better off just purchasing it. Unless you just want to make a mess!! Have fun with it I guess!

Walking Dude, ther is no way you can duplicate your perfected chile powder/rub with store bought. As I've alwatys said, once you get to the taste you like, you just keep making batches of that good stuff. And as a plus, you'll have most of the components to venture out with other chile powders/rubs. Long live the Grind!
