5 Minute Baguettes

I tried this recipe yesterday. It came out as advertised, but predictably it was not as good as the version that takes all freakin' day. But not bad for what it is. The bread is a little chewier, and the crust had to be rewarmed to regain crispness, but other than that (and the fact that I screwed up and added 2 tablespoons of salt, instead of 2 teaspoons) everything was fine.

I found a couple of older steaks in the freezer that didn't look good as steaks any longer, but after being chopped fine, browned, and tossed into the crockpot with the usual suspects, made some very good chili.

The bread looks awesome!
You could dip that in anything, but I like cold hard butter.
I’m sure it went great with the chili!
