My father-in-law made shrimp for the family 4th get-together. Generally, I make some kind of alternative protein/meat for the non-shrimp eaters. I decided on some St. Louis ribs with no wrapping.

I coated the three racks in rib rub from a local market in our area the night before. Cut the racks in half to fit on my WSM (I fit 4 on the rack up top and the last two halves on the bottom shelf), threw in some hickory chunks, and I was off and running.

About 5 hours later, the ribs were near the 195 mark as Smokin Al uses, so I took them off. I turned my gas grill on low (150-200) to glaze up the sauce I applied. 3 halves were Sweet Baby Rays and I tried out Stubbs regular for the other 3 (a coworker who also smokes highly recommended Stubbs so I gave it a shot). The ribs were cut up and placed in separate bowls.

Both batches were a hit. Most people liked the flavor the Sweet Baby Rays. The Stubbs regular sauce had almost no flavor but the texture of the sauce was thicker and better. I said I may have to try another flavor from Stubbs. Not a ton of pictures since we eating, entertaining, and having a good time!

Shrimp and ribs was a meal to remember. Thanks for looking and happy belated 4th!

Ribs look great though.

I want shrimp too!! Lol. Seriously the ribs look great. My kids always loved SBR BBQ

Understand the lack of shrimp photos if FiL doing his thing.
Ribs, da yum.
Wife is not a sauce fan. I prefer Sweet Baby Ray's over the other OTS (off the shelf) brands.
