To all,
I have a 87' x 30" propane tank. I bought the blueprints for a stick burner from smokerbuilder.com.
I have since decided that I do not want to feed wood for 17 hours / overnight. I have found https://smokedaddyinc.com/product/the-pellet-pro-18-hopper-assembly/ for the Pellet equipment. They say I would need two of these units.

QUESTION: Has anyone built something similar and can you tell me how / where you mounted them?

Thank you,
Beemer

This is well above my pay grade but give it bump. Sure someone here could help you. Otherwise send that email to Smoke Daddy and ask their opinion? It's their equipment?

I have built and used a lot of pellet cookers and for this to work I think you would need a much longer auger tube to burn pot. You would likely need to have these enter into CC on lower back and sit the chamber into 3rds with burn pots under each line with diffuser plate. You could easily turn it into a water cooker.

If it were me and the pellet burner being $500/ea I would put massive gravity feed chute on back with a “T” distribution transfer tube that is either 10x2 or 8x2.

Other option is same gravity feed but turn into reverse flow

I have a wood burner and a pellet smoker/grill. The taste is better with a well built wood burner but it is time consuming. My age has pushed me away from the wood burner plus it is just the two of us now so I do not need the capacity.

If you have chosen to avoid a wood fire then my best advice is sell what you have and buy a pellet grill/smoker. I think you will be much happier.

TY for the feedback. I have not seen any large capacity pellet grills. Any leads?
