Many of you have PM'd me to see how I am doing... I have 30 days of sobriety today, w/ God's help! I know this is is a smoking meat forum. But you guys are like family and I am on the road (didnt make a meeting to get my 30 day coin today) so I thought I would celebrate w/ YOU.
Thanks again for your thoughts, prayers, and kind words.

BTW I still have the big smoker.....maybe I am supposed to keep it???

XTexan,

Congratulations on your 30 days. I'm sure it is tough, but just stick
to it. Although a totally different thing, I am a 30+- year tobacco (snuff)
user and am on my 21st day without it. Quit for over a year about 10
years ago, but this time, so far it has been easy. God Bless & good luck!

It may be different but it is a habit you wish to be free from..and you can! I will keep you in my prayers.

Thanks

I like the "coin" idea, I think you're on to something. Maybe I was simply supposed to get some sober days behind me....we'll see. I know this is a one day at a time every day thing.

You keep your head high and stay focused on the moment. We are all pulling for you. And should you slip during your journey, we will help you back up and get you walking down the right path again.

I too am in awe of all the fine folks who can overcome an addiction. I can't go 4 hours without a caffine fix, so I can't imagine battling the demons of alcoholism. But I have seen my parents kick it. And their smoking habit. You can do it! We got your back.
