Kind of two posts together in one since one is lacking on many pics (not my fault). Wife had unthawed about a 6 lb chicken and being Saturday and a long week along with an unplanned trip to help my buddy out with plumbing issues (1 1/2 hours one way) we decided to do the bird in the nuwave oven mom had said we could have before she passed. Had never used it yet but glad we did.
That was just getting started, then about 15 minutes in
Should've said she did inject it with melted butter with old bay and garlic seasonings mixed in. Cooked 45 minutes breast down then flipped and another 45 minutes. Not sure of time of this pic
But it was getting pretty and smelled awesome. Here it is after another 45 minutes...oh my!
Previous pic breast was 163 degrees. It was juicy
All carved up
My plate with canned carrots from last year and baked tater with butter and sour cream.
It all was awesome! I could cut through the breast with a fork. Skin was a bit rubbery but thats ok, not good for me anyways so I didn't eat it all...but in my mind means I can have more bacon! Can't wait to try other foods in it. Was also amazed there was very little heat given off from it.
Now the other part...came home earlier this week to my wife using the little instapot that was mom's. She's not so good with food porn pics but a pic with venison in it
She also had CI skillet with sauted onions and mushrooms in it, which I took a pic of but ended up with this...(use your imagination)
I know! I felt the same way. Anyways she took the venison out and put it in the pan with mushrooms and onion, it was just falling apart tender! She made gravy with juices out of instapot and cooked up some egg noodles for me while she had hers over riced cauliflower. Oh my was it ever good!
Would say for first time users of nuwave and instapot they were both winners!
And for Robert @tx smoker who seen my gravy covered meal...that's what was under that mess of gravy.
And as a reminder to stay safe...my son needed a mask to go to dentist office tomorrow so this is what I left for him on his counter to come home to after work about 5 am
Thanks for looking!
