Rear legs for me ... when we do rabbit, we stuff with sausage ,,,

Man, rabbit was delicious. Thank God there's bacon as a side dish. Lotsa work for little bit of meat. Hey griz, what sausage goes good with rabbit? Always looking for ideas or instructions

Just some Italian sausage,we smoke some at the hunt camp in archery season ...

What temp and how long? I can get rabbit quite cheaply here in NYC lately. Wanted to try but didn't want to waste $ if I failed. With a little guidance I just might give it a shot!

270° for about 2-1/2 hrs. Flipped em half way through, brushed with preserves. Then quickly brushed 2nd side before I took em off. Glad to share

Outstanding! I used to raise rabbits and slaughterd thousands of them as a teenager in 4-H. I probably had 150 -200 at a time. BBQ'd was my favorite way to eat them. Mom sometimes did them in a roaster oven with stock and vegetables until they fell apart too. So juicy!

Knowing what  what I know now, I would like to try it cured and smoked.

I gotta give you a point for bringing back memories and making my mouth water!
