I never spritz anything, opening the lid just heat out and I dont think it really adds much. Just my opinion

No spritz for me - I do ribs naked most of the time (SPG dry rub) and sauce is on the side.

Cooker quickly recovers, that's a myth.

And its not going to impact the temp of the meat your cooking. When you open your refrigerator door for 30 seconds to a minute, does the temp of your milk go up ?

Just be quick about it, don't open up the door and then go get a beer from the fridge inside the house
