16" charcoal smoker grillpro brand

what i have is a stand up design smoker.. bought from a guy because i wanna start smoking.. ok from the beginging i know this isnt the best.. but any help any tips will be appreciated i am gonna attempt a brisquit this weekend.. i dont have a picture to post of it but there is a thread from 2010 with my smoker in it.. so any help would be great..
