Doug @dougmays I see site 30 is reserved and assuming that is Darcy and Bill we I booked site 11 tonight.
did anybody read the release stating that alcohol is strictly prohibited in the park?

Don't all parks state that ? I've not encountered any problems all the times we've been there... But then again I drink responsibly too...
Just reacted when I tried to reserve. they also usually say you can't have a cordless hole puncher, but I never leave home without it. Plus we got really big igloo cups to put our "lemonade" in.

Glad to see people are booking! I've been asked by pretty much everyone about the "no alchohol" rule, i think keith is right...it's just a cover your ass rule (i hope). I have another group i have done a yearly camping trip in Goethe Forest for 14 years and they state no booze...but we did/do. I'm hoping that's not an issue but as stated before....solo cups, insulated cups and IV's are probably the best bet ;)
For a recap:
Dates: 12/12-12/14 (some people stay shorter and longer, up to you)
Location: Hardee Lakes Park (https://www.hardeecountyfl.gov/departments-services/parks-recreation/hardee-lakes/)
Sites: We are looking to book are in the range of 10-15 & 26-30 (if you'd like to camp somewhere more private that is certainly ok)
Gathering Site: In the past at HH we (keith) booked a site for our tables, tents and all that. The plan right now is to put the "gathering site" in between the RV spots in those to above mentioned locations.
HH also had a nice dish washing station, I do not know what Hardee offers but i think we'll be ok with RV Kitchens and Water connections.
Glad things are coming together! Obviously, this year is a little different but we are still going to have a great time! I missed last year and REALLY looking forward to this year! I'll update Post #1 with the site reservations now.

Hey all! Sorry for the absence, i was checking back on here regularly but i wasn't seeing any updates, then i stopped getting notifications via email.
Thanks John @Fueling Around for keeping me in check, i def. missed Keith, Don and J-ren's bookings. Page one is updated and also posting below.
Miranda and I are planning to tent camp on Bill and Darcy's site and/or sleep in their RV. Maybe next year we'll join the RV club and rent something :)
Miranda might also have a client that wants to come with his wife, sending him the info today. He's apparently a nascar and food person, so i think they'll fit in.
I'm going to be checking here more often that people are chatting :)

Yea.. I got a buddy (Dirk) that has site 14... He will be bringing another freind of ours, plus our golf carts... I haven't made up my mind yet on snack sticks...

If anybody can manage it... Golf carts and UTV's (side by sides) are allowed to ride all the trails in the woods... It's pretty fun to make a drink or two and spend a couple hours on the trails...
