    Coleslaw Recipes?

I am not really a mayo fan. All of you experts have a slaw that isn't mayo based? I like a good slaw on PP for sure.

    Yoder wait time

My bad.....My brain read that you were replacing the entire smoker and not just the controller. Well.....in 3 months if you need any help, I'll try and comprehend better.

    Yoder wait time

Just curious, why don't you just buy the "s" and upgrade your current 640? That's what I did. New ignitor, burn grate and "s" head unit and it's exactly the same as the current model. Not sure what the wait time is for the unit itself, but worth asking if you're up for it.

Planning to buy my first pellet smoker

My Yoder has required zero maintenance, except for the upgraded control unit that I put in. I have the 640 with comp cart for 5 yrs and love it. Things a tank and I use it year round in Central Illinois. Happy to answer any questions that you might have.

    Opinions wanted on new smoker

Sorry for the delay. No. I was always able to get a fire. The ceramic lighter makes quicker work of it, but never required additional intervention previously.

    Opinions wanted on new smoker

feel compelled to weigh in with my YS640. Love it. Its 5 years old and I upgraded to the new controller and ceramic igniter. Haven't had the problem about the plate needing cleaned as the user a couple of posts earlier....Use only lumberjack pellets. I'm sorry that you are having trouble...

Fireboard 2, Thermoworks, Meater, or Inkbird?

I had the Maverick, Tappeque and now the Firebird. Love the Firebird probes and app. I still have gen 1 but I never look at the actual box, only my phone.
