Thanks for the input. I made my first set of ABTs based on your advice. I used some of the white mexican "queso" cheese. I had a leftover ribeye I had grilled a couple days ago. I cut thin slices and spiced it up a bit and added it to the ABTs. I wrapped it in bacon and crossed my fingers...
I like the idea of ABt's. I love jalapenos but I hate cream cheese. Are their any recipes without cream cheese? Is there a good alternative that I could use?? Thanks in advance.
Weird. Using the Lowes link above I determied that the price of this thermometer varies from 15.99 to 5.99 in the various Lowes around atlanta. i guess i will drive across town to get one at 5.99.
I am going to try to smoke my first fatty this weekend. I worked at a greek pizza place in high school and my favorite pizza had lots of feta cheese, gyro meat, mushrooms and pepperoni. I thought that this would make a very good fatty. Does anyone know a rub that would give the meat that good...
First one just reached 200. I pulled it and wraped it foil and all in an old towel to let it rest. The second one is at 197. I'll be pulling that one shortly. I'l send pictures and a full report after a little rest.
