    Masterbuilt Gravity Feed

I think the discount is to clear the older design inventory, I could be wrong though.

    Masterbuilt Gravity Feed

I am glad to finally join the family. I ordered the 1050 with free rotisserie kit on cyber Monday and now waiting the delivery. Lump charcoal and cover already delivered and ready to take care of the smoker. I spent over a year reading forums about pellet smokers and was pretty much set on RT700...

Thinking to order the 1050, if you ordered direct did you get it UPS fright/semi truck or normal UPS delivery truck?

Which Danger Zone rule should I follow: 2 hours or 4 hours?

Cold smoking refrigerated chicken wings on my gas grill using pellets tube. Planning to smoke the whole quantity, around 150 wings, together while grill is off for 30-45 minutes then lift half of it and grill the rest until finish then grill the remaining lifted half. Outside temp is around 70s...

Thank you Jabiru. I am planning to give it another shot this weekend and will follow Al's recipe.

Whole smoked spare ribs on gas grill

Thank you Al. They do look good but the bark is so hard and dry making it hard to bite and chew I will follow your method next time as Jabiru suggested and will do it St. Luis style rather than a whole spare ribs. I will avoid letting it sit rubbed for several hours. I know the ribs go by bend...

Whole smoked spare ribs on gas grill

Thank you guys. How would the spritzing help to keep the bark from getting too dry? I thought spritzing slows down the cooking and let the meat absorbs more smoke, no?

Whole smoked spare ribs on gas grill

Got a whole spare ribs on deal from Ralph's/Kruger for 1.99/lb and decided to use Kosmos q dirty bird rub and followed Malcom Reed's recipe. Put the rub and let it sit around 4 hours then set the grill on 250 (230-275) with swings with digital thermometer at grate level and used Amazen tube with...

    More Tri-Tips just showed up

I always purchase prime tri tip and select the ones with highest marbeling. It's totally worth it. I follow Malcom Reed's first YouTube video recipe but cook it to 135 then reverse sear and rest This one on my gas grill last month

Temp accuracy, expectation vs reality, RT-700

Thanks for the video SlowmotionQue, just saw it and curry is a great feature to have and one I was looking for to have. Before I pull the trigger, is there anything I need to be aware or you guys wanna share?

Temp accuracy, expectation vs reality, RT-700

I live in SoCal LA area so not sure who has LJ for $0.50/lb. I currently use Cookinpellet perfect mix in the tube and I like it a lot. Does the one from Rec Tec has a lot of dust in it? I will place the order online if no extra placing it over the phone

Thank you for the video, will watch it tonight. I downloaded the manual and will be going through it.

Temp accuracy, expectation vs reality, RT-700

Thank you everyone for the feedback, much appreciated. It's good to know what RT-700 is capable of and what expectation I should have. In my opinion, even a gap of up to 10 degree shouldn't be an issue. I have a canopy that the smoker will be sitting under along with the gas grill and will be...

Temp accuracy, expectation vs reality, RT-700

Hi, New member here and glad to joining this great forum and looking forward to learn as much as I can. I currently use 6 burners gas grill and pellet tube smoker and we like the smoke flavor better than wood chips so I guess pellet smoker is the right choice for us. I am pretty much set on...

    Tri-Tip tips

Love tri tips, fast and easy. I use Malcom Reed's first tri tip video instructions and it works great. I just did mine the other day using prime tri tip, seasoned them and indirectly cooked them on my gas grill using Cookinpellet perfect mix in a Amazen tube at 275 degree for 90 minutes. Pulled...

Pit Boss Austin XL... Anything better for $500 or less?

Thank you everyone for the good feedback. I live in SoCal and usually grill for 10 people and sometimes it could go up to 25 but that's very rare. Most of the time the food is variety of veggies, filet mignon chunks and marinated chicken chunks on skewers and I grill this over my 6 burner...

Pit Boss Austin XL... Anything better for $500 or less?

Thank you for the details. Would you say the smoke flavor out of the pellet grill without using the tube is lighter or stronger when compared to the gas grill with the tube?
