Yeah you got it. Cut your opening as low in the cc as you can. The opening should be 5" - 6" sq or oval or football shape what ever you like. Just keep in mind all the openings should be petty close to the same size. Exp. 6" air inlet to fb 6" opening fb to cc and 6" out let to chimney.The...
Hey Mark. Welcome
First off, have you determined were the grill grates will be? The top of the intake, FB to CC should be level or just below the grates. I 'am assuming this is a horizontal free flow and not a reverse flow. Are your cylinders by any chance propane tanks or just pipe. Pipe is...

Those look really nice! I do have to ask. How many PBR's does it take to cook them? Takes me about a bakers dozen. My wife thinks that's too many. What are your thoughts?
I feel your pain buddy. I lived though 2 Great Grandmothers,4 Grandmothers, a Great Aunt, a Mother and a Mother inlaw that cooked that way. The thought was you had to cook it like that or you would get worms! I discovered A1 steak sauce I never looked back. I could eat a skunk cooked over a...
Hey all. I'am building a side mount fire box using 2 propane tanks. 100lbs cook chamber 30lbs fire box. I am having trouble figuring out exactly where two make the first cut to nicely fit the two tanks together. Do I cut the cook chamber to fit the fire box? or do cut the fire box to fit the cc...
My Name is Dave. I'am here in Canada. Really like this forum. I have been messing around smoking fish and wild game sausage for quite awhile with varying success. My dogs love my mistakes. I have been using a small electric smoker and would like to build an offset fire box smoker out of 2...
