My 30 inch has a window and it is alright but, it is just something to clean. When the smoke is heavy you can not see the meat and water condenses on the glass and messes with seeing the meat.

Cheech, did you see the ribs in the store or in the newspaper ad? I saw
a ad in the paper that showed country style ribs with a nice rib on it, only in the store they did not have the bone. Just your typical version of country style pork ribs all meat and no rib bone.
Thanks Earl. Tri tips are very hard to get in N.E.Oklahoma. Central Meat Market here in Muskogee only gets them from time to time and they are 2 to 2-1/2 lbs. and the run around $3.49 a lb. Can't wait to get some.
Hope you keep a good watch on your fire. Did you see on the news the guy north of Tulsa that was smoking in his offset and let a spark get out and burned several acres in his housing development. :lol:

My pipe is standard length maybe 30 inch, it is galvanized. Just get a std. section of black stove pipe. A cap would be a nice addition, but I have a 45 degree joint i can use on the top if i want.

I have a GOSM charcoal unit. I have a section on stove pipe that I stand on top over the exhuast vent and that lets the smoke exhaust away from the top of the smoker. I cut a small "V" in the bottom part of the pipe, so the temp. probe that comes up thru that vent won't get damaged...
