Old Country BBQ Pits All-American Angus Smoker

I agree with you, completely about that hole. Before I seasoned it I had a welder close up half of that hole. So I'm hoping to get a decent amount of smoke on that bottom rack in the vertical chamber.

    Best Offset smoke <$1000.00 ???

Thanks for the tips and after much debate. I went with the option of asking my in-laws to pickup the tab. I just got it delivered. I went with the Old Country All American Angus Smoker, it's a big heavy beast. I gotta season it and fire it up this weekend.

Old Country BBQ Pits All-American Angus Smoker

I just ordered the bigger 20" All American BBQ Smoker direct from Old Country a few days ago. I'm psyched to get it. I've been using a Char-griller for about 10 years and I wanted something bigger . I did get the tuning plates which i hope will make the vertical section useful for cooler...

    Best Offset smoke <$1000.00 ???

I'm looking to upgrade my Char-Griller for a bigger offset barrel smoker 24"x36" or 24"x42" but I can't afford what I want the Yoder Durango. Any suggestions of a quality smoker for under $1000.00, that's not a piece of crap? Thanks

    Calling all Smoke Hollow owners!

Yep I put on casters before I assembled mine and then I used some thredded rod to ease some pressure off the screws holding on the legs to the smoker.  That's probably unnecessary but it makes me feel better.  Not sure if you can tell but there is an inch between the rods where they cross.  I...

    New to forum in Chicagoland

Hey everyone, glad to be here. I've been smoking for over 8 years on a Char-Griller offset wood smoker.  Originally from Ft. Lauderdale and I've been in Skokie for a while now and I've been wanting to smoke more year-round and the offset smokers are a bit rough to keep a consistent temp during...

    Calling all Smoke Hollow owners!

I just purchased the Smoke Hollow 44241G2 44-Inch Vertical LP Gas Smoker. Most reviews said it was a pretty good unit. Hopefully it will turn out that way. I'll update how it is once I use it a few times. If anyone already has it and had some tips I would be happy to hear them.
