Hello all... Was going to wait till Spring to get a 18.5....a buddy told me to look around because a certain store clears inventory this time of year. Sure enough scored an amazing deal on a in box 18.5. Look forward to getting her set up and running!

Hello All,
Will two racks of baby back ribs fit/lay flat on the top grate of the 18.5? My preference is not to use a rib rack, but not a deal breaker to get this unit.
Thanks
Rob
Hello all,
Anyone have any issues with the door on the 18.5..when trying to add additional wood or not feeling it was secure enough? Or the factory gauge?
I have a Masterfirge and a Kamado Joe and thinking about adding to the cooking arsenal.
Its just me and my wife and we do the...
Was just curious anyone with the 18.5 ever had any issues with the door...staying secure, removing to add while in use, or just in general. The 22.5 seems more sturdy...just my .02.
Also has anyone swapped out their factory temp gauge fpr an aftermarket one? Recommendations on one? Feel its...

Hello All,
I used my new Timestick Trio over the weekend and love it!! It really was a great idea adding three different time allocations. My question is those who have the unit, how do you turn it off completely when done? After the smoke I cleaned up my area and was putting my gadgets away...
Hello All,
I'm still a novice at the smoking thing and had a couple of incidents last year where I left the smoker only to return with flare up. After speaking with some people I realized that I need to pay closer attention to the 1) temp of the day 2) wind or lack there of 3) and making...
Hello All,
I have a general question about cooking chicken(thighs and bone in breast) and ribs. I have a MASTERFORGE from LOWES propane smoker and I usually place the ribs on the lower two racks(4 rack smoker ) to get them closer to heat source and place the chicken on the top two racks.
Is...
Hello,
I have a newbie question for y’all…. I have a Master Forge with a Maverick ET-732 thermometer. On Sat I was attempting my 4th time smoking and never had a problem like this before. I was using soaked Hickory(which I noticed the wood chunks seemed to be bigger than I usually buy) and...

Hello I know this has been asked before but I tried to search prior threads but here it goes...what is the main difference between spare ribs and baby back ribs? Is it just the way they are cut? I know when I grab a rack of ribs in the store and it says "baby back" on the package these are baby...
Hello All,
I will be doing my first rack of St Louis Ribs with Jeff's rub and Jeff's BBQ sauce....I was going to go with 3-1.5-1.5...only because I'm hearing that 2 hrs wrapped(with some apple juice) has produced some mushy ribs with the solid 2 hrs. I have a couple questions...IF I decide in...
Hello All,
I was looking through the email received today and had a quick question. When they are explaining applying the rub, they mention the "original rub" vs the "Texas Style Rub"
""You will notice that I used the original rib rub on the outside racks and my new Texas style rub on the one...
Hello...my name is Rob and I relocated with my wife from New England to Texas in September, we love it here so far! Since coming here I have gotten the BBQ/Smoking meat craving(thanks to my neighbor). My better half bought me a propane smoker(Master Forge) from LOWES as a wedding present. This...
Hello All...I'm a newbie to the world of smoking meats. Moved to Texas in September from New England and got the BBQ/Smoking bug big time. Here is my question...I made my first pork shoulder a few weekends ago. I started with using some yellow mustard then added a rub that I found online. I then...
