    upgrading my smoker (need help)

    hello from Oregon

    I have been on the site many times.  Just now introducing myself.  Any how I am almost finished with my smoker build, from a food warmer. pics to come.   I am from Oregon and have lived here for the past 20 years, I work as a school teacher. more to come

    question for jerky makers???

    Is it better to smoke the meat then finish it in a dehydrator,  or smoke the meat then finish it in the smoker with low heat? If you have a smoker with a fan inside with a toggle switch to turn the fan on and off would that be comparable to a dehydrator? Thanks  Doug

    stainless food warmer conversion to smoker???

    I have a used food warmer which is about 5' 6" tall 22" wide 26" deep.  I need to come up with a way to heat the unit for smoke and drying.  I also need some racks.  Probably need a dampener and an exhaust.  Any tips would be greatful Thanks
