Good morning all, whenever I smoke a whole chicken I’ve used a hickory/cherry mix or the Traeger signature blend. Always comes out great. Looking to try something different this weekend. Any suggestions on what other wood or combos work good?
I plan on smoking some ribs early in the morning tomorrow and having them for dinner but we have to go out in the afternoon. I planned on smoking, wrapping in foil, and placing in a cooler wrapped in a towel. Would 4-5 hrs be ok to leave them?

I’m smoking a turkey for the first time in thanksgiving. I’ve found several recipes with just a rub, aromatics inside, butter and oil. Is it necessary to either brine or inject the turkey or will a rub with water pan keep the turkey moist enough.
I've seen some recipes that call for pulling a pork butt apart right off the smoker and some suggesting wrapping in foil and resting. Tomorrow will be my first time smoking a butt, anyone have any suggestions or advice from experience? Thank you in advance.

Smoker. I've read that it's better to apply the nomex on the doors as opposed to the unit itself, anyone have experience or input on which is better? Thx
