yeah the chicken turned out with some great flavor. I don't usually do thighs, but wanted to do something cheap first on new cooker to learn its performance. 

Chicken thighs. 2 different rubs same sauce. also some bacon wrapped chicken strips. half with a chili powder and brown sugar, other half some bbq rub. oh and my over cook London broil that my neighbor brought over. was tasty, but well over cooked. never done one before and hadn't planned on beef.

yes. I ordered with left hand firebox. man this baby cooks. cooks a little fast. was a breeze to hold and maintain 250. everything minus the London broil came out fantastic. two different rubs tried on the thighs as well as the bacon wrapped tenders. never done London broil before. neighbor...

Wooooo HOOO!!!! My Lang 36 patio arrive early this morning.  Gonna spark it up tomorrow get it seasoned and throw on some chicken thighs, bacon wrapped chicken breast strips,and maybe few slabs ribs. I will save the brisket and butts till I get it dialed in on how it runs. more pics from first...

to me the food just tastes a little more personal after you tended to the fire for all those hours.  the taste of accomplishment. not knocking pellet, gas, or electric, I just like the challenge and reward of wood.

oh trust me im not handling the wait very well. Smoking stays on my mind. i constantly vision the smoker and where its gonna go, what my first brisket on it may look like. im gonna lay an 8x8 concrete slab in the backyard for it..lol. think i may need help. mentally, not physical. hahaaa

Congrats on the Lang!  Im still waiting on my 36 patio to arrive. got 21/2 weeks left!  Read nothing but good about them and they were very easy to deal with on phone.

this site is ridiculous!!! I have soo many things found here to add to the arsenal of delicious goodness!!  My new Lang 36 wont be gettin too much rest after it arrives..  2 1/2 weeks left to wait.
