I'm still new at this, I hear everyone talking about removing the membrane on the back of the ribs, my question is on these spare ribs there is a rather large section of meat attached to the the back side, do I remove this too or just the part of the membrane I can get to, any advice will be...
im new to this, just built a block smoker, used it the first time over the weekend, as of now im using charcoal to fire it with, and hickory wood for the smoke, my question is is there a better source for heat? flavor? and i also went thru 4 , 15lbs bags of charcoal to keep it at 225. my smoker...
just got into this, built a concrete block smoker in the back yard after seeing some great ideas on here. looking forward to trying it out very soon. any advice is greatly appreciated. while i dont think its rocket science, i know there is a big learning curve. thanks, MontyG
my dad always had the best ribs and knew exactly how to do this, unfortunately i didnt get a chance to learn his secrets, but that was many years ago, so now im learning on my own, built a concrete block smoker and ready to give it a try. any advice would be great, i dont think its rocket...
