    Kitchen Aid Pasta Maker

All of the KA accessories have been good quality that I bought, I have a extruder set that works well, haven't used it in a lot of years as I ended up in bad shape with #2 diabetes about the time I got started using and learning it. Wore the grinder out on a bunch of deer though :emoji_wink:

Flat Racks vs Hanging for Jerky

Pellet smokers run too hot to do some things and jerky is 1 of them, easy to over shoot temps, it can be done but there's a fine line lol

    Hunting And Fishing Thread!?!

I have loved muzzle loaders since the mid 80’s when I started taking deer hunting seriously, killed my first with a H&R inline which was better than side locks imo, that was borrowed have only owned new CVA’s up until I bought the Savage, love the no cleaning till I want to no crud ring ect...

Are Kroger Grocery Store Meat and Seafood Prices Better Lately?

Seems like I screw up catching the iten to put in my cart somehow, looks like it did but when rung up its not, then you have to to the service desk for a adjustment, at my age I don’t like games very much and to me thats what this is, well they have started a investigation into the meat packing...

    Grinding deer meat, die size?

your large cuts of meat will stay better frozen than ground, Its very rare I grind much until I need it, no brisket fat this year as Kroger didn't have any sales this summer.

What is the best pellet grill for smoking salmon?

You can put a cold smoking box on anything and save a lot of $ if you have any type of smoker already, temp is the key issue now ?

What is the best pellet grill for smoking salmon?

Electric for low temp smokes, if I propped the lid up on my pellet smoker it would run away on temps trying to keep the temps at set point, any opening of the lid makes mine kick the heat on, it runs really well to the set temps, not sure what's the lowest any will run but outside temp effects...

    Ground meat jerky

I make the caseless snack sticks but the jerky mix doesn't give me the texture that I wanted so stick with the flat jerky

    Ground meat jerky

Well I have never ground 2 times , texture might have a lot to do with type of meat ground and fat content , I do a lot of deer jerky some years and no added fat

    What went wrong?

I would guess undercooked, change 1 thing at a time so you know what works what doesn’t, baby backs can vary a lot in weight these days so a set 5 hours ain’t always true depending on pit temp, a remote therm is a really nice thing to have when you are trying new smokers meats or methods.

Bought a grill for church - big cook tomorrow - warm up

I bought 1 of those grills about a year or so ago, works well, I been known to throw a log on it and cook/smoke something on the other side or the top rack. hard to do with my Weber kettle, the short distance between racks limits stuff you can do but is still a grilling machine.

First Ground Beef Jerky in Dehydrator

    Custom Rubs

Well going to pellets is a big step down on smoke flavor, its still there but at a lot less, the meat and rubs step up in flavor. I came close to buying a masterbuilt charcoal , $250 but 2 things stopped me, the wife and the fact that Kingsford had stopped the twice yearly charcoal sales, they...
