It's been an interesting couple days here in South Central Pa. We rarely have ice storms here, but this week we had two in four days. Sunday's storm was followed with winds gusting up to 60mph overnight. I walked outside around 7 am Sunday to find a tree down over the driveway landlocking us...
another happy mes owner here. I've had a lot of success with mine over the last year I've owned it. After a minor mix up on my first smoke, I haven't had any issues with a smoke. I think the ability to controll the temperature helps the learning curve a lot! They are also well insulated...
I like that approach AJ, my wife half cringes every time I say "I think it's about time for another trip to the butcher shop". She always forgets all about it when the food starts coming off the smoker though!
I like hickory, apple and cherry for both meats. I tend to mix apple or cherry hickory for either. I go about 2/3 fruit wood to the hickory. Just my 2 worth.
I agree with smokebuzz. 10990 + 2 if your counting a bus driver?

I agree, for some reason I like smoking in the cold or dreary weather. Maybe it's because I can't work outside on anything else. It's 40 and raining here today. I did 2 beef roasts that came off about an hour ago and have 4 pounds of chicken on now for a Christmas party on Saturday. So far...

It was too windy that day and although I tried, I couldn't get a picture of the TBS, I hope that doesn't disqualify me?
Congratulations, I just became a Dad, with 12 grand children you'd probably laugh at my wife and I stumbling through our first weeks as parents. It's all fun though!
Today is beef rib day and off to a perfect start. My 1 week old daughter gave me enough time to start the smoker. I figured I'd share the day. I got 4 racks from the butcher yesterday.
