    Let me get this right. No one cleans the inside of their smoker? I thought you had to clean it to prevent creosote buildup? I'm new at this and have onll used mine 3 times but I was gonna clean it for use this weekend. Do't clean the inside walls or lid? Thanks

    The turkey turned out great!! I used a brine recipe from here and it was great. I was concerned about using hickory chips but it was perfect. I got some pics I'll have to get posted.

    Rub

    Thanks guys. What about a rub? Do you suggest a rub or justcoat the outside with butter or olive oil? One more question - My smoker is an electric bullet type. Should I put the turkey on the top rack or 2nd rack, closer to the heating element? Thanks again everyone!

    Brine and wood suggestions for first turkey

    I got a torpedo heater to put in my garage on Sunday to help try to keep it heaed. The highs here on Sunday is only 10 degrees. Hopefully it works for me. I'll be sure to send pics.
